This Privacy Policy describes how NutriSnap ("NutriSnap", "we", "our", or "us") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our mobile application (the "App"). NutriSnap is operated by Sayan, a solo developer based in India.

1. Who we are

NutriSnap is built and maintained by Sayan, an independent solo developer from India. If you have any questions about this policy, you can reach out at [email protected].

2. Information we collect

We try to collect as little as possible. Specifically:

• Account information. If you sign in with Apple, we receive a unique Apple user identifier and, if you choose to share it, your name and email. If you continue as a guest, no account information is collected.
• Meal data you create. Photos of meals, descriptions you type, and the nutrition breakdowns generated by the App. This is stored on your device and, if you are signed in, may be synced to our backend so it is available across your devices.
• Usage counters. We keep track of how many AI meal scans you have used in order to enforce the free tier limit (3 scans for new users). This counter is tied to your device and/or account and persists even if you reinstall the App.
• Subscription status. If you purchase a subscription, RevenueCat and Apple provide us with your subscription state (active, expired, trial, etc.). We do not receive your payment card details.
• Diagnostics. Anonymous crash logs and basic performance data to help us fix bugs.

We do not sell your data. We do not use your meal photos to train third-party AI models beyond what is needed to generate your nutrition breakdown.

3. How we use your information

• To identify food in your photos and estimate nutrition (sent to our AI provider to generate a response, then returned to you).
• To show you your history, streaks, and progress.
• To enforce the free scan limit and manage your subscription.
• To fix bugs and improve the App.

4. Third parties we rely on

• Apple — Sign in with Apple and in-app purchases.
